While other starters are sold as strong because they are old, I want to offer a starter that is young, metabolically healthy, and well balanced. This starter is maintained with the most care to keep acidity low and the yeast thriving. Receiving a boutique treatment, this starter is kept at precise temperatures, fed and dehydrated in small batches. Thinly spread on a parchment paper, it's air-dried, no dehydrators. The thin flakes are easy to rehydrate and revive following the instructions, and need 3-4 feedings to have it ready for baking. This starter is dehydrated when it's in top shape only! It's never exposed to cold fridge temperatures, or heat. A new fresh starter is created every year, you are purchasing a starter that it's a few months old, or up to a year old.
Orders will be shipped every Monday so they must be placed by Sunday 10pm. Orders placed later will be shipped the following week on Monday. The flat shipping fee includes shipping plus handling.
